Green Claims Check: review environmental claims systematically
VERDAI finds environmental claims on your website, assesses them against the EmpCo Directive and shows what needs evidence, sharpening or removal.
A green claims check captures every environmental claim a company makes, tests whether it is concrete and verifiable, and assesses it against the EmpCo Directive. From 27 September 2026, generic environmental claims without recognised excellent environmental performance are considered unfair.
What is checked
- Generic claims such as “sustainable”, “eco-friendly” or “green”.
- Claims about climate neutrality, CO₂ reduction and offsetting.
- Sustainability labels: do they rest on independent third-party certification?
- Future targets such as “climate neutral by 2030”: is there a verifiable transition plan?
How the check works with VERDAI
